‘Rare’ wine buyer still after seller

 Having spent a half-million dollars proving he was duped into buying wine he thought once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, Palm Beach billionaire Bill Koch isn’t about to let the man he believes conned him off easy.

So even though a federal judge in New York last week threw out his lawsuit against German wine collector Hardy Rosenstock, a spokesman for Koch said Wednesday the legal battle is far from over. This is the first inning in a nine-inning ballgame,” said Brad Goldstein, a representative for the Texas-born energy tycoon. “Bill Koch is adamant. He believes he was cheated.”

Koch also firmly believes wine collectors throughout the world were cheated as well - not just by Rosenstock but by other industry heavyweights who have gotten rich passing off common wines as historic vintages.
