Billionaire Eddie Lampert’s run of bad luck is even causing a big stall at his car lots.After losing nearly $1 billion on a bet that Sears will would fly again someday, Lampert had hoped his gamble that cars sales - particularly used ones - would pay off at national car-lot chain AutoNation, in which he owns about a one-third stake.

In the last 12 months, AutoNation’s stock has lost nearly 36 percent of its value, wiping out $1.45 billion in stock value for investors.
