Wynn Resorts falls on Las Vegas outlook

Shares of Wynn Resorts Ltd. slumped Wednesday as investors were spooked by Chief Executive Steve Wynn’s forecast for “general weakness” in Las Vegas.

Late Tuesday, Las Vegas-based Wynn Resorts said it swung to a fourth-quarter profit on increased Macau VIP business. However, billionaire CEO Stephen Wynn predicted upcoming Las Vegas softness, saying in a conference call that “you probably should turn on the yellow light” for the Las Vegas market as the sector contends with a slowing U.S. economy.
