Trial on Control of IAC Focuses on a Deal’s Intent

The testimony on the second day of a trial to settle a dispute over the control of IAC/InterActiveCorp reduced a clash of billionaire titans to a debate about detail.The lawyer for the Liberty Media Corporation, Kevin Abrams, rested his case on Tuesday during the second day of a trial in which Liberty’s owner, John C. Malone, is trying to reclaim voting control of IAC from its chairman, Barry Diller.

During the day, questioning by Mr. Abrams and a lawyer for IAC, Marc Wolinsky, focused on contract language and the witnesses’ recall of specific events
