Brewing Magnate Schoerghuber Dies at 47

 Stefan Schoerghuber, owner and chief executive officer of Munich-based Schoerghuber Corporate Group, died yesterday. He was 47.“Schoerghuber passed away unexpectedly” on the night of Nov. 24 in his home in Munich, the company said in an e-mailed statement today. The company gave no cause of death.

Schoerghuber took over the top position at Schoerghuber Group after his father Josef died in 1995. The company, founded in 1954, has 6,300 employees. It owns 50.1 percent of BHI Brau Holding International, a joint-venture with Heineken NV and maker of German beer including Paulaner and Kulmbacher.
